This 6 days safari in Uganda with Ecological Uganda Safaris will start and end in Kampala city. It will include viewing some of Africa’s Big Five animals, boat cruise on the Nile to the Murchison falls, Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national Park best known as habitat of thirteen different primate species and finally a city tour in the capital Kampala.
Detailed Safari itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Today morning after your breakfast your driver as well as safari guide from Ecological Uganda Safaris will meet you at your hotel, brief you about this safari and then you will start on the 5-6 hour drive to Murchison falls National Park one of the most loved parks in Uganda.
Along the drive you will enjoy the beautiful view of Uganda’s green countryside. You will stopover for lunch in Masindi town and later transfer to the top of the beautiful Murchison Falls found on river Nile. The water merges through a narrow gorge that is just 7 meters wide, with so much pressure before making a drop of about 43 meters below over a cliff – the view is very breathtaking and ideal for photographs!
Later you will transfer to your accommodation where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Early Game Drive and Boat Cruise on River Nile
After breakfast, have a morning game drive to see different animals such as giraffes, Jackal, Hartebeest, Elephants, lions, Bushbucks, among others. Have lunch back at your accommodation and in the afternoon enjoy a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls on river Nile – which is the longest river in the world (this is among the highlight activities on this safari). You will see several different animals such as the giant Nile crocodiles, buffaloes, hundreds of hippos plus various birds.
In the evening you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and the overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest NP – home of Chimpanzees
After your breakfast, you will drive southwestwards through Fort Portal town to Kibale National Park home of the Chimpanzees having an en-route lunch. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Fort portal located in the shadows of the mountains of the moon as well as the beautifully terraced hills. Once in Kibale, you will check into your accommodation where you will have dinner and the overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Nature Walk
You will have breakfast very early in the morning and then transfer to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the chimpanzee trekking activity. While in the forest you will come across a couple of several other primates such as the Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Baboons, L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Red Colobus Monkeys and Black & White Colobus Monkeys plus different birds and butterflies.
When you meet the chimpanzees you will spend about an hour observing them play, jump in the trees, feed and also take photographs.
You will return to your lodge for lunch and then after go for a nature walk in the Bigodi Swamp – home of different wildlife including the biggest antelope – the sitatunga.
You will dine and spend the night back at your accommodation

Day 5: Drive back to Kampala
This will be your final day in Uganda’s National parks on this safari. After you unrushed breakfast, you will checkout and then start the return drive to Kampala City where you will dine and spend the overnight.

Day 6: Kampala City Tour, Departure
This will be the final day of this safari. After breakfast our guide will take you on a city tour in Kampala – the capital of Uganda. During this you will visit different sites such as African craft Village (there you can purchases some souvenirs), the Bahai temple, the large religious cathedrals plus mosques, the art galleries, Uganda Museum, fresh fruit markets and the Kasubi tombs.
Afterwards, depending on the time of your departure flight, you will be transferred to Entebbe International airport.
