Detail Safari Itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Today our guide from Ecological Uganda Safaris will pick you up very early in the morning after breakfast and transfer you to Bwindi by road. You will make a couple of stopovers along the ways – at the Uganda Equator where you will take photos, and then for lunch in Mbarara town before finally arriving in Bwindi park where will have your dinner and spend the night.

Day 2 – Trek the Gorilla in Bwindi forest
This is the highlight of this safari. Following an early breakfast you will transfer to the park headquarters to be briefed by the park warden as well as assigned guides who will lead you on this activity. Dressed in your hiking boots, rain jacket, walking sticks, as well as a packed lunch and drinking water you will hike through the forest looking for the gorillas for a couple of hours. The duration of the trek takes between 2-6 hours based on the gorilla’s movements. Once you find them you will be allowed to spend an hour in their midst taking photos and observing them feed, play and cater for one another; the sheer size of the silverback which can grow up 350 pounds will stun you. Later you will return to your accommodation for dinner and the overnight.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
After a nice breakfast, you will check-out of your accommodation and drive back to Kampala making a stopover along the way for lunch. Airport transfers can also be arranged.
