This 4 days Primate’s Safari will begin and end in Kigali city. It will include an opportunity to track one of the habituated gorillas groups in Rwanda, and the price will include a gorilla trekking permit which costs $750 per person. Remember that Rwanda has nearly half of the approximated 880 mountain Gorillas remaining in the world, trekking the Golden Monkeys as well as a Kigali city tour.
Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival, transfer to Volcanoes National Park
When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our safari guide from Appetite for Adventure. From here he will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park a drive that takes approximately four hours. Along the way you will enjoy a lot of sightseeing as you drive through the rolling countryside perfect for photography.
In the park, you will check into your accommodation where you will have your dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking adventure in Rwanda
Today you will have breakfast very early in the morning, and then our safari guide will drive you to the headquarters of the park where you will be briefed before starting on this thrilling activity at around 8:00am. Along the trek in the forest park you will enjoy exciting views of the nearby volcanoes, and encounter a number of monkeys, birds and if lucky see some elephants. Yu will be allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas once you find them, observing, taking photos and recording videos.
After trekking you will return for lunch at the lodge and relax for the rest of the evening or take an optional community walk to meet the locals.
Dine and spend the night at you lodge.

Day 3: Golden- monkey Trekking, or Visit Dian Fossey tomb
You will have an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the golden monkey tracking activity. These monkeys are very exciting and interesting to watch in their natural habitat. Alternatively you may choose to visit the tombstone of renowned primatologist Dian Fossey who dedicated her life entirely to caring and conserving the mountain gorillas. (Optional Activity). You will have lunch back at the lodge and in the after visit the nearby community and interact with the locals living around this park. You will dine and spend the night back at your accommodation

Day 4: Kigali City Tour then Departure
In the morning you will enjoy your breakfast and then check-out of your lodge and begin on the drive back to Kigali City. You will have a Kigali City Tour before transferring to the airport for your departure flight, during which you will see various tourist sites including the museum, the genocide memorial of the 1994 Rwanda genocide as well as the different markets, and even buy some souvenirs.
